Did you just ate ants, did you had overdose of Man v/s Wild with Bear Grylls😂😂😅😂😂😅😂
Wouldn't chopping down parts of cocoa plantation and opening clearings fasten the process? But i am no ecologist so do what you are doing. Amazing work!
The color and shape reming me of Texas blue bonnets. Except these lupin seem to spread a lot more.
I live in crocodile country, going near the water is insane, let alone a drowned forest lol ... the horror.
That’s some pretty fast flooting 😮
What was the name of that app used to log the observations?
Not a fan of the selfie-view. Sorry to say that, but you wamt to show something and 50% of the screen shows your face while the rest is blurry because its out of Focus.
.
Playing with nature is like a mosquito dreaming of eating a human. Sad that we plan to use greener way of consumption but no one wants to reduce consumption in the first place. Its like trying to fool nature whereas in reality we are creating our own fate.
Plan some projects like these in India also
And I would say there is no indestructible way of mining. It is a horrible scar on the land but unfortunately a necessary evil. I think if these countries in South America are going to let countries like China or the US go in and exploit those resources, there needs to be money put aside initially for recuperation of the land. And if that particular mining company does not partake in the reclamation process, they should never be able to do business in that country again and have to pay a very heavy fine. If the government extracts those funds initially and puts them aside, there would be the means to recuperate the land. If the mineral company does the Reclamation they get a chunk of that inital money back as some form of deposit return. But if they do not and it has to be hired out, 100% of that money goes towards the reclamation. They also have to hire locals to restore it as well as ecologist and biologist. So it would be in the minners interest to partake in reclaiming. the utter destruction mining causes is horrible. I'm a naturalist but I'm not ignorant. I'm talking to you through a phone that requires mineral extraction companies to go extract mineral from the land... As much as I hate it that's the reality. But there is a way to do it that is less impactful, at least in the long run... that would be what I would advocate for if I were one of these underdeveloped countries that developed countries try to exploit... and don't allow any local corrupt politicians or mineral extraction conglomerates to bribe or pocket the money that's supposed to go on to the Reclamation process.. I don't see China ever reclaiming a strip mine area in South America the way they're running theirs. And they have guards with AK-47 that will shoot you if you get anywhere close. It's really sad to see the utter destruction they cause and the negative impacts they have when no foresight for the future or consideration for the locals and the environment is utilized...
The Amazon rain forest are the lungs of the planet.
That Peninsula looks like a stocking that hangs on the hearth for Christmas. So stocking Peninsula, or Christmas peninsula. They're a little more refined than sock 😆
That looks like an elephant grass species from tropical parts of Africa. (Pennisetum purpureum)
Don't use a termite infested house for tourism, use it as a brushpile
I love the fact that you guys do what you do. I'm an ichthyologist and would love to help out even beyond monetary means. If you ever wanted to do an inventory of the aquatic life, let me know. I'll help your cause where I can. I'm also a herpetology nut. So, land transect for reptiles and amphibians would be a dream! Keep it up. You have an advocate from a cowboy nerd from Idaho! I love yalls mission. I also love the fact that you want to incorporate the local community economically to create a viable relationship that will be beneficial for all parties involved. Fundamentally, that is probably the most important thing you can do in these scenarios, and I'm damn proud and happy to see you guys doing what you're doing. Keep it up!
This is incredible im so happy you were able to buy it! I hope real gentle people purchase more so we can finally be activists that can make a change
Where can we learn more Adriana the conservation biologist you begin this video mentioning? Did you pay her? Is she your employee? What is her role with mossy Rock? Because I have a project as well
40 degree heat?? That’s hot to you??
I didn't see the Iberian Lynx mentioned in your sub-species map. Great work, and very excited for the rewilding programs.
Asian longhorned beetle enters the room
Is there a way to visit this forest? I am a Biologie Student and Hobby photographer and would love to explore what animals live there and photograph them. Also as a student i live on a small budget but can afford to pay a little so it might also help you guys?
You shold have one million subscribers and 5000 comments, but not many people have a relationship to nature and animals. Unfortunately😢
9:55 tragedy of the commons
The fact that they can buy land means the big players that are responsible for the destruction can too… thats so fucked up
are you and Leave Curious run by the same people?
+1 for Peninsula McPeninsulaface
Thanks!
Sock sounds too, idk, urban. But what if you translate it to local language? Maybe it sounds better.
Is she single? Cuz damn!!!!~
Green Anaconda will appear any minute now….:)
"Many a man has planted trees he'd never enjoy the shade of."..... It takes lifetimes to repair the damage done in an instant.
So beautiful. Thank you
Hope I can visit and stay at this place as an volunteer in the future if thats possible. Looks like a paradise.
Well done Team
A full lenght ASMR style video of the entire river would be amazing
So much potential for amazing ASMR videos! In and out of the rainforest, it would bring their channel (and message) to a different audience too.
I was thinking the same thing!
Beautiful
